Soak Up the Sun at Hatteras Island Reserve is a beautiful 14-bedroom, pet-friendly vacation paradise that has all you could want to enjoy a fabulous Outer Banks vacation and/or event. The outdoor space is a treat in itself. There is plenty to enjoy out there including a 16'x38' outdoor pool, hot tub, covered patio, an outdoor bar and kitchen, gas grills, an outdoor sitting area, outdoor showers, TWO outdoor bathrooms, and a ping pong table. Grab your phone and hook up to the outdoor sound system! The yard is fenced-in allowing for the perfect event space or area for your dog to venture around. Fill up the coolers with the commercial-grade ice machine at this home.
On the second level, the modern décor and fine touches of this property will instantly relax you. Lots of fun can be had on this level. There is a kids' playroom, an arcade, a recreation room with a pool table, and a large theater room. There is an exercise room available for your daily routine. For sleeping, guests can choose one of the following sleeping accommodations: 3 King En Suites, each with oceanside deck access, or a King En Suite with oceanside and soundside deck access. One of the King En Suites on this level has a handicap-accessible bathroom/shower. Want clean clothes and/or towels, the washer and dryer are here for your use. A half bathroom is here for your convenience.
Take the elevator up to the third level for most of the sleeping arrangements: 3 King En Suites with oceanside deck access, 1 King En Suite with oceanside deck access and a handicap accessible bathroom/shower, 1 King En Suite with oceanside and soundside deck access, 2 King En Suites with soundside deck access, 1 Double Bunk En Suite with soundside deck access, and 1 Double Bunk En Suite. Whoever is lucky to stay in these rooms will experience a great level of comfort. To sit and enjoy a good book folks, enjoy the Reading Nook on this level.
Finally, there is the fourth level. This open-concept floor plan includes a Living Room with an electric fireplace, a gourmet kitchen with a walk-in pantry and island seating for 6, a dining area that seats 14, a second dining table that seats 12, a console table for 4, a custom-built boat bar with seating for 6, a separate seating area with ocean views, and two covered decks, one of which is oceanfront. For added convenience, there is a half bathroom here and elevator access. You'll have to fight over who gets to sleep in the Grand King En Suite with a sitting area with a fireplace, walk-in closet, and grand bathtub that has deck access.
There is plenty to do when staying at your Hatteras Island Reserve vacation home! Take a visit to the Hatteras Island Lighthouse or take a day trip to Ocracoke Island. The ferry is within walking distance - take in some shopping if you have to wait for the ferry to arrive. Don't miss the Graveyard of the Atlantic Exhibit or the Billy Mitchell airstrip. For the 4x4 vehicle owners in the group, driving on the Hatteras Beaches is always a fun thing to do. Imagine doing some fishing and being able to cook your catch in your amazing vacation rental.

Want added comfort? Consider adding the Heated Pool option! A Heated Pool option can be added upon request for $50 per night of your reservation. This fee is added to your reservation at the time of the request, which must be a minimum of 72 hours before arrival. Pool heat must be added for the entirety of your stay.
This pool is heated by a heat pump. An ambient air temperature of 60 degrees or higher is needed to heat the pool, meaning that if the temperature drops below 60 degrees the pump will not continue to heat. The Max pool temperature is 80 degrees.**
**Private heated pools will open on April 1st and close on November 1st. Hot tubs are open year-round. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6 p.m. on check-in day. Vendors are subject to entering the backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.**
Soak Up the Sun is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $135, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.
**Special events are welcome at this home! For an additional fee plus tax, you and your party can host a special event. All events require approval via Event Addendum.
