How Far Is It and How to Get There?

There are two ways to get to Devonshire Place at Bermuda Bay in Kill Devil Hills - driving and flying. The closest international airport is in Norfolk, VA (ORF). After landing in Norfolk, you will then head south on NC-168 and US-158 where you will drive over the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. When you get to the road signs pointing you to NC12 North, stay straight and proceed through the town of Kitty Hawk. You will pass the Wright Brothers Memorial on your right and then take a right onto Colington Road. Next, turn left onto Bermuda Bay Blvd. Turn right onto Devonshire Drive.

Are There Nearby Attractions I Can Go to While Staying in Devonshire Place at Bermuda Bay?

Centrally located in Kill Devil Hills allows you easy accessibility to all destinations along the Outer Banks. The closest and one of the most popular attractions near Devonshire Place at Bermuda Bay is the Wright Brothers National Memorial. If you enjoy a nice walk, you can get there without even getting in the car. Not even a mile up the road, you can enjoy the history of the Wright Brothers or even climb up to the monument itself. Nearby attractions also include Jockey's Ridge State Park. Take some day trips up north to Corolla and visit Whalehead Club and check out the Currituck Lighthouse. Head down to Cape Hatteras and visit the museums and Bodie Island Lighthouse.

There are several piers within close proximity to Devonshire Place. The closest one is the Avalon Fishing Pier. But there is also the Nags Head Fishing Pier and the Outer Banks Fishing Pier. They will let you rent a fishing pole and bait and go enjoy yourself. Food and beverages are also provided at these locations.
