This is a great house. Here are a few things that we appreciate and enjoyed: - really nice outdoor furniture on all the decks and pool - New deck railings and the decking is in terrific shape - Spa and pool were crystal clear and the spa is under a covered private area - Outdoor bathroom and shower area near pool and spa - Large bedrooms and comfortable bedding - The house is clean - Bathrooms in each bedroom - Updated, well stocked kitchen - Body wash and soap dispensers in the bathrooms - Quick walk to the beach

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Heron, it was clean upon arrival, the kitchen was stocked with needed supplies and the linens were very clean! It was a very short walk to the beach and had a lot of walking or biking areas. The beach area and living area is very family friendly. Did not get to see any wild horses though because we didn’t know you had to go to the 4 wheel drive beach to do so.

Great space and layout, great location. Check out time of 10am seemed a bit early but we were able to get a noon check out for an additional fee. Shampoo and shower gel was skimpy - they would be better off just telling guests to bring their own. All other amenities were as described. We like to cook, and the kitchen was well stocked and we were glad to have the gas grill outside. Overall we loved the house and had a great time! We would definitely book again.

We took our first blended family vacation and it did not disappoint. We also brought our 2 dogs - and they loved it. Rooms are in good shape, with ample closet space and places to put clothes. Beds are comfy. The kitchen and eating area had plenty of space and all of the items needed for a home away from home. The house is in a good location about a 6 min walk or 2 min bike ride to the beach. The pool and hot tub are perfect after a long day at the beach. House is next to a pond which is great for morning walks. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping close by. My only small complaint was the bathroom in bedroom 2 had a problem with the faucet and we called shortly after arrival and it took several days to come fix. Other than that, no complaints. We will gladly book again and have already recommended to friends.

The Blue Heron was great for our recent family vacation. It was a nice surprise that each bedroom had their own private bathroom. Upstairs was a great space for everyone to hangout together, cook, play games and enjoy the deck outside. Located in a great neighborhood to explore and walk around. Was a quick 5-10 minute walk to the beach and had some beach supplies (cart) that came in handy. Hot tub was perfect on the cooler days/evenings we had. Would definitely come back again!

great house on the OBX for a couple of families to share. short walk to the beach. pool was great for the kids after hot days at the beach.

KEES does a nice job of cleaning the place and providing fresh linens and towels. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary appliances and tools.

Loved the new kitchen! Also appreciated the extra amenities (pack n play, bed rails, extra blankets, cutlery, kitchen appliances)! This is our third year renting Blue Heron. We love the home and know we can depend on KEES for providing us with a wonderful vacation experience!
