How Far is It and How to Get There?

There are two ways to get to Beacon Villas - driving and flying. The closest international airport is in Norfolk, VA (ORF). After landing in Norfolk, you will then head south on NC-168 and US-158 (Croatan Hwy) where you will drive over the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. When you get to the road signs pointing you to NC12 North, you will turn left. Continue Hwy 12 N (also known as Ocean Trail), through the Town of Duck and you will arrive at Corolla. Continue and turn right onto Beacon Hill Drive, then turn left onto Keepers Way.

How Far is the Beach Access to the Unit?

The Currituck Beach access is less than a mile from the Beacon Villas at Corolla Light.

Is the Hot Tub in the Townhouse or Part of the Resort?

All of the Beacon Villas at Corolla Light have a private, amazing hot tub on their back decks.

Are There Nearby Restaurants That I Can Check Out?

Yes! Be sure to visit the Oceanfront Grille right in the Corolla Light Resort. When you venture outside of the Corolla Light Resort, there are several local eateries close by. Within a five-mile radius, you can find all types of cuisine options.

Am I Allowed to Bring a Service Animal to this Property?

Cool off in the shade at the poolside gazebo or grab a quick snack at the snack bar. Located next to the pool is the only oceanfront dining in Corolla at The Oceanfront Grille at Corolla Light. Relax and enjoy dining in this casual atmosphere with excellent food. The oceanfront clubhouse features an indoor game room. Go outside and explore the amenities around pool area. The outdoor lighted on site volleyball, four lighted shuffleboard courts, lighted full and half-court basketball courts, 8 outdoor lighted tennis courts – four hard courts and four clay and playgrounds offer plenty of activities. Corolla Light Resort hosts tournaments for guests throughout the summer season.

Spend time at the beach with five lighted boardwalk beach accesses throughout the Corolla Light Resort to the wonderful, wide, white-sand beaches of Corolla. Take your beach chairs and umbrellas on the trolley or rent them. Corolla Light Community truly has everything to make your beach vacation memorable.

Do not miss out on the soundside amenities. Besides the beautiful sunsets, Corolla Light offers tons of great soundside amenities. Looking to get some exercise? Take a walk on the nature trail, ecology walk, or the self-guided discovery trail. Splash around in the two soundside swimming pools including a baby pool. The Indoor Sports Center at the Corolla Light Resort has amenities for year-round activities. Swim some laps in the heated indoor pool. Warm up in the sauna in the full-sized locker rooms. The fitness and cardio room has treadmills, ellipticals, steppers, total body trainers, recumbent bikes, and upright bikes. The weight and aerobics rooms make it easy to get into a good workout. Take on some friendly competition on the racquetball or wallyball courts. Play some tennis at the indoor clay courts (for a small extra fee). The facilities also have 2 ping pong tables. The Sports Center makes Corolla Light truly a year-round resort.

The three air-conditioned Corolla Light trolleys run every 20-25 minutes during the summer season. Getting around the resort is so easy! Just pick up the trolley at one of the designated stops and off you go! If you're headed to the oceanfront complex, you'll enjoy a seasonal outdoor pool, basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard courts while you're there.

For those seeking a more natural experience, visit the quiet sound side and take a walk along the mile + sound front nature trail. The sunsets off the two piers are glorious and not to be missed.
