How Far is It and How to Get There?

There are two ways to get to the Outer Banks - driving and flying. The closest international airport is in Norfolk, VA (ORF). After landing in Norfolk, you will then head south on NC-168 and US-158 where you will drive over the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. When you get to the road signs pointing you to NC12 North, you will stay straight and proceed through the town of Kitty Hawk. Continue until you see the Lowes Home Improvement Store. At the store, you will turn right onto W. Landing Drive. Continue on W Landing Drive and then turn left onto Harpoon Drive. You have made it to Water Oak!

What Types of Sports and Adventure Activities Should I Look Forward To?

There are so many sports and adventure activities to do when staying in Water Oak. The community is surrounded by nature trails and walking paths. Kitty Hawk Bay can be accessed from the neighborhood especially from the community pier. Being close to the Bay as well as the ocean allows guests to enjoy all of the water sports. Kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and fishing are just a few.
