Where is Ocean Dunes located?

Ocean Dunes is an oceanside community located in Duck, NC. This serene paradise offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, just steps away from your doorstep.

How Far is It and How to Get There?

There are two ways to get to Ocean Dunes- driving and flying. The closest international airport is in Norfolk, VA (ORF). After landing in Norfolk, you will then head south on NC-168 and US-158 where you will drive over the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. When you get to the road signs pointing to NC12 North, you will turn left. Continue on Hwy 12 North (also known as Ocean Trail) and you will get to the quaint town of Duck. (If you go further north, you will eventually get to Corolla. (If you choose to go on NC 12 South, it will take you to the towns of Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Nags Head.)

Continue through Duck Village, driving by a scenic neighborhood here and there on your left and right, then take a right onto Christopher Lane. You have arrived at Ocean Dunes.

What is the Community Restriction Here in Ocean Dunes?

The Ocean Dunes community is known for its peaceful and family-friendly atmosphere but does not have a lot of community restrictions. However, the community of Ocean Dunes does request that you take all of your beach belongings - beach chair, canopy, umbrella, etc. - with you when you leave the beach. Any items left behind will be subject to confiscation.

What Outdoor Activities Can I do Here in Ocean Dunes?

In Duck, you will be surrounded on both sides by water. Thus, any outdoor water activity is sure to be enjoyed by everyone in your group. Whether it be swimming, fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, and/or paddleboarding, you are sure to find something you enjoy.

Duck is a good place to rent a bicycle and explore the Village of Duck. Being in the Ocean Dunes neighborhood gives you easy biking access to ice cream, restaurants, and shops. You will also see a lot of golf carts riding around town. These are some excellent outdoor activities for the whole family to enjoy.
