How Far is It and How to Get There?

There are two ways to get to the Ocean Lake community in Corolla - driving and flying. The closest international airport is in Norfolk, VA (ORF). After landing in Norfolk, you will then head south on NC-168 and US-158 where you will drive over the Wright Brothers Memorial Bridge. When you get to the road signs pointing you to NC12 North, you will turn left. (If you stay straight, you will get to the towns of Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head down Croatan Hwy.) Continue Hwy 12N (also known as Ocean Trail), through the Town of Duck and you will arrive at Corolla. Look for signs for Ocean Sands section O and turn right onto Seabird Way.

What are the Community Restrictions Here in Ocean Lake?

Because Ocean Lake is part of the Ocean Sands community, RVs/Motor Homes, golf cart, ATVs, and motorized scooters/buggies are prohibited. Trailers are also not allowed. Parking of vehicles should be in driveways and not on lawns, and/or roads. In addition, fireworks are illegal in all of the Outer Banks.

The parking lot at the Ocean Lake Swim and Tennis Club is for members using the pool and tennis courts only. Beach parking is not allowed in this area and will be subject to being towed.

Please take all of your beach gear - chairs, canopies, umbrellas, etc. - with you when you leave the beach. Any items left on the beach overnight are subject to confiscation.

Are There Pools Here in Ocean Lake Rentals?

YES! Ocean Lake's guests enjoy access to an Olympic-sized community pool and a kiddie pool. The community pool is typically open from May 28 to October 1. Please note that dates and times are subject to change. The Ocean Lake vacation rentals have their own private pool as well.

What Amenities Does Ocean Lake Have to Offer?

Ocean Lake has its own private beach access. Being this close to the beach allows for hours of sunning and enjoying the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Ocean Lake community is convenient to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, and activities in Corolla. The community has an Olympic-sized swimming pool with spacious sun decks and a kiddie pool, four community tennis courts, and several convenient beach walkways.

The vacation rentals in Ocean Lake have a private pool and a luxurious backyard for your enjoyment. You are close to all things Corolla. Be sure to visit the Whalehead Club and the Currituck Lighthouse while you are there. The shopping centers of Monterey Bay and Tim Buck II are a quick trip away to enjoy hours of shopping. For the golfers of the group, Ocean Lake is really close to the award-winning Currituck Club golf course.
