The Currituck Heritage Park is 39 acres of historical property and wide-open fields that your leashed little one will adore! While you are there you can visit the Center for Wildlife Education, the restored Whalehead Club, as well as historic Currituck Beach Lighthouse.

Currituck Banks is a fantastic maritime and forest hiking trail that is a good place to stretch your legs and take in the beautiful views. As you stroll along the boardwalk or the primitive trail, you and your furry friend can watch the birds and catch a glimpse of the infamous wild Spanish horses that live in Corolla. There is a small parking lot where trail-goers can leave their cars and the trailhead is located near the informational sign west of the lot. There is a gate that hikers need to close after entering to make sure the wild horses stay safe and protected in their habitat.

Corolla Village has several dog-friendly spots for you to grab a bite to eat or lounge with a drink. Some of our favorite chow spots in Corolla are The Shack Coffee Shop and Beer Garden, Corolla Cantina, and Mama Easley's. Yum!
